At present, two lecturers from the Republic of Belarus work at MPEI, and seven agreements have been signed with Belarusian universities.

In 2010, the Russian-Belarusian-Chinese University Consortium was established to facilitate personnel training, student exchanges, research and development, as well as cooperation and training programs.

MPEI collaborates with Belarusian universities within the framework of the Association of International Offices of Higher Education Institutions (AMO).

MPEI is a member of the CIS Network University, founded in 2009, and also serves as the CIS Base Organization for training, professional retraining, and advanced qualification of specialists in the electric power industry.

MPEI Rector holds working meetings within the CIS Electric Power Council with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus. Additionally, discussions on cooperation with representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus are regularly organized at MPEI.

Belarusian students take part in the international engineering championship "CASE-IN," one of the key projects of the Presidential platform "Russia - Land of Opportunity."

MPEI students annually participate in the international scientific and technical conference "Minsk Scientific Readings".

MPEI actively engages with leading Belarusian universities, such as EI "Vitebsk State Technological University", Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, EI "Minsk State Linguistic University", EI "Belarusian State Technological University", and others. This cooperation includes organizing scientific conferences, round tables, and student internships at MPEI, as well as faculty exchange programs for joint internships, professional development, and guest lectures. These initiatives contribute to the advancement of scientific and educational cooperation, the development of academic programs, and the engagement of faculty and students.

Additionally, MPEI actively collaborates with Belarus within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Commission, participating in scientific and educational projects.
