Cooperation between MPEI and Iran began in 1962, when the first students
were enrolled to MPEI.
MPEI has trained a large number of highly qualified personnel for a
number of countries, including more than 60 graduates from Iran. Two foreign
teachers from Iran work at MPEI.
MPEI cooperates with the following universities: Iran University of
Science and Technology, Tuzi University of Technology, Sharif University of
Technology.
Representatives of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the
Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and
universities of Iran have repeatedly visited MPEI to discuss cooperation
issues.
