The cooperation of MPEI and Lebanon institutes and organizations started in 1967, when first Lebanon citizens were admitted to MPEI. Overall, more than 160 Lebanon students has successfully graduated from MPEI.
Presently, one lecturer from Lebanon works at MPEI.
In 2019, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Lebanon was carrying out a series of exhibition events “Russia - new possibilities for Higher Education”.
A large number of Russian and Soviet universities’ graduates live in Lebanon, including MPEI graduates. Many highly trained specialists having studied in Russia returned home and took prominent posts in the economical, political and other important spheres of national life.
