MPEI cooperates with educational and research institutions in the Republic of Azerbaijan through inter-university partnerships, international educational initiatives and its involvement in specialized international associations.

MPEI alumni holding prominent positions in Azerbaijan’s academic, governmental and technology sectors play a key role in strengthening these ties.

Among MPEI’s honorary doctors is Professor Abbasov Ali Mammad oglu, a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and an MPEI graduate.

Since 2015, MPEI has been a member of the Association of Russian and Azerbaijani Universities, which focuses on advancing academic and research collaboration, fostering student and faculty mobility, and implementing joint educational and research projects.

MPEI also actively participates in the activities of the CIS Network University Coordination Council.
