Cooperation of MPEI with Spanish universities started in 1948 when the first students were enrolled. Among the MPEI Alumni there are about 50 former students from Spain.
National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" collaborates with universities and organizations of Spain for decades. At present, in the framework of Erasmus+ program, MPEI realizes mutual exchange programs of students, teachers and interns with the Alliance of four Spanish Universities: Autonomous University of Barcelona, Autonomous University of Madrid, Charles III University of Madrid, and University of Pompeu Fabra.
In the framework of Science and Education project FSAMP – Flight Safety and Airworthiness – Master Program, MPEI realizes collaboration with Valencia Polytechnic University and gives internships to teachers and staff members. The International Administration is planning to continue and extend the collaboration upon exchange in the field of science- and research activity.
In conclusion, it is worthy to say that MPEI students annually receive up to 10 scholarship to study Spanish on any level, for up to two weeks in Valladolid at the “Fundacion lengua" center.
