CIS countries with MPEI participation adopted the concept of cooperation in the power engineering sector until 2035

Rectors of universities, specialists, heads of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed issues of developing research centers, research laboratories, new departments, advanced engineering schools and the implementation of scientific grants.

As part of the event, MPEI and TSTU (Tashkent State Technical University) signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement provides for the creation of a joint Advanced Engineering School.

“The CIS adopted the concept of cooperation in the power engineering sector until 2035. The documents were prepared by the Moscow Power Engineering Institute and are aimed at supporting scientific and technical development of fuel and power engineering complex industries. Their fulfillment involves active implementation of the most modern methods and models of management of large power engineering systems”, - Mikhail Mishustin noted.

MPEI Rector, Nikolay Rogalev, also took part in the conference of engineering and technical profile of Uzbekistan and Russia. During the conference, Nikolay Rogalev, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirzamakhmudov Dzhurabek signed the Roadmap for opening MPEI branch in Tashkent.

At the conference, Nikolay Rogalev presented the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a bilingual book on STEM technologies in Russian and Uzbek languages by MPEI Professor Valery Ochkov, which he wrote together with MPEI Ph.D-student and TSTU professor Umirova Nilufar.
