Russian-Vietnamese Innovation Center at MPEI

On June 17, 2024, the Russian-Vietnamese Innovation Center (RVIC) was established at MPEI. Professor Nguyen Quoc Chi has become the Director of the RVIC.

For many years Nguyen Quoc Chi has been cooperating with MPEI, being engaged in both educational and research activities at the Department of General Physics and Nuclear Fusion (GPNF) of the Institute of Thermal and Nuclear Power Engineering (ITNPE). 

During his work at MPEI, Prof. Nguyen has made a significant contribution to the development of scientific research and international cooperation.

Contributing to the development of joint Russian and Vietnamese projects, a new structural subdivision of MPEI – Russian-Vietnamese Innovation Center (RVIC) has been established to promote innovative development of Russia and Vietnam in the field of education, business, science and high technologies.

The main objectives of the RVIC include:

- Increasing the competitiveness of the university in the Vietnamese market of education, innovations and high technologies.

- Promoting innovative development of Russia and Vietnam through the creation of joint projects and programs.

- Strengthening friendly relations between Russia and Vietnam through cooperation in education, innovation and high technology.

- Creating a supportive environment for exchange of experience and knowledge between scientists and specialists from both countries.

The first Vietnamese students entered MPEI in 1953. During these years MPEI has trained more than 650 bachelors, masters and specialists, 120 candidates of sciences and 10 doctors of sciences.
