MPEI graduate earned the Ismoil Somoni Award

August 30, 2024, Dzhurayev Shokhin, a foreign graduate of MPEI Institute of Electrical Power Engineering (IEPE), Associate Professor of the Electrical Power Engineering Department of the MPEI branch in Dushanbe earned the Ismoil Somoni Award for Young Researchers for outstanding work in the field of science and technology.

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, presented state awards and prizes to representatives of various professions with significant results in labor activity. This year 12 people were honored with state awards. In his speech, the President noted the importance of young scientists' contribution to the development of science and technology, emphasizing that their achievements serve as a foundation for the future of the country.

Dzhurayev Shokhin's work is highly appreciated both in academic circles and among professionals in the electric power industry.

The award recognizes the merits of young scientists and researchers in the society and the state and is aimed at supporting, stimulating, increasing the creative ability of young scientists and researchers, developing the scientific, technical, technological and innovative potential of the Republic of Tajikistan.
