Representatives of MPEI visited Universities of Great Britain

MPEI representatives have been visiting Kingston University, London in the period from the 14th of May, 2017 to the 21st of May, 2017. The main theme of the talks was implementation of the joint international scientific and educational projectFSAMP (Erasmus+). The working group included:

Kulik Irina – Institutional Coordinator for Erasmus+ Programme

Milyukov Igor - the associate professor of Dept. of Innovation Technology of knowledge-intensive industries.

Komarov Ivan - head of technology transfer department (Management of innovative activity).

Sokolova Yulia – the associate professor of Dept. of philosophy, politology, sociology.

MPEI representatives together with group of colleagues of another universities participating in the project performed the planned work and training according to the schedule diagram of the FSAMP project on subject "Applied safety of flights" and on development of master programs.

During the training the fact-finding excursion to the Kingston University was arranged. The guests have seen the laboratory complex of Aerospace Department and met with representatives of aerospace and aviation engineering: Professor Peter Barrington, Professor Paul Wagstaff, P. Jonston, D. Casanova, P. Cacciabue, etc. Also the visit to the National Air Traffic Services NATS was organized.

Besides, Irina Kulik and Ivan Komarov visited Coventry University, (Coventry) to negotiate and discuss the prospects of effective cooperation between MPEI and Coventry University. During the visit the fact-finding excursion to the University campus were arranged and meetings with representatives of the International Departments and Dept. of engineering and informatics was held. The participants discussed potential cooperation in the innovative activity and joint participation in scientific development and projects; the primary agreements on mobility of students and professors within the Erasmus+ project were reached during their talks.
