Nikolay Rogalev participates in Forum of Rectors of Russia and Kyrgyzstan

Rector of MPEI Nikolay Rogalev took part in the First Educational Forum of Rectors of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic "Kyrgyzstan-Russia: collaboration in the focus of Eurasian integration" in the framework of the visit of President of Russia to the Kyrgyz Republic. MPEI Rector was involved in the talks over the prospects of development of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities (RKCTU).

MPEI graduates made their impact on all the most important building sites of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the Hydro power plants cascade on the Naryn river of Kyrgyzstan. MPEI has always been preparing Kyrgyz national cadres and specialists of higher qualification. The considerable part of the Frunze Polytechnical Institute named I. Razzakov defended their Ph.D. and Dr.Sc. theses in MPEI at our University. Now they are leading the departments and scientific schools of multiple universities of Kyrgyzstan.

By the time of their studies MPEI prepared a huge amount of high-qualified specialists, hundreds of them, for the Kyrgyz power engineering branch of industry. Large number of Kyrgyz Power Engineering executives are MPEI Alumni.

National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" is the Chairman of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities and coordinates functioning of more than 40 Universities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan in the framework of network educational projects.

During the visit of Nikolay Rogalev to the Kyrgyz Republic the meeting with Murataly Jamanbayev, Rector of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, became the platform for discussion of the results and prospects of RKCTU development.

In the framework of the Russian-Kyrgyz Rectors’ Forum the Rector of KSTU made a report on RKCTU functioning, and a row of the Russian Universities expressed their desire to enter the Consortium. This was followed by the meeting with Batyrkul Baetoev, Dr.Sc. in Economics, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, and CEO of the "National Electric Networks of Kyrgyzstan" Medet Aytkulov, MPEI Alumnus.
