Alumni of the joint program of MPEI-TU Ilmenau (Germany) were solemnly conferred diplomas

A delegation from Technical University of Ilmenau (Germany) visited MPEI from19.10.2015 to 24.10.2015. In MPEI there is an enhanced training program in German language in Training and Professional Development Center "The German Engineering Faculty MPEI — TU Ilmenau" functioning in Universities' commonwealth. Within this visit TU Ilmenau representatives including project manager from the German party professor Hannes Töpfer and coordinators Mr. Klaus-Dieter Fritz and Mrs. Gudrun Matthies participated in a number of meetings and held negotiations with MPEI representatives concerning further cooperation deepening. 

On the 22nd of October, 2015 in MPEI there took place a solemn academic colloquium and handing of diplomas of Technical University of Ilmenau (Germany). MPEI alumni gained Internationally Recognized diplomas of the foreign University. 

Training and Professional Development Center "The German Engineering Faculty MPEI — TU Ilmenau" is realized in MPEI since 1998 together with Technical University of Ilmenau (Germany) with active support of DAAD, Siemens AG firm and other organizations. 

Since 2003 to 2014 already 86 former MPEI students received documents on their graduation from the German University. This year 8 alumni of MPEI institutes put on the alumni cloaks. 

To obtain the final qualification certificate of Ilmenau University of Technology MPEI students have to implement completely MPEI training program and, besides, completely fulfill the German part of the program (to pass 20-week work practice in Germany, to pass complex examination in a number of disciplines of TU Ilmenau curriculum, to write in the German language and successfully defend degree project). 

Alumni of the program gain experience of practical work in the international companies, communication in multilanguage space as practically for all of them the German language is the second foreign language. 

During the program existence more than 750 MPEI students from the most different specialties took part in it. Now there are trained 8 students in Germany.
