Visit of a group of Indian students to MPEI

On the 3rd of October 2019 MPEI was visited by the group of students from India that consisted of 43 people accompanied by two professors of JIS Group.

The goals of the visit of the Indian delegation were to see Russia, visit the power engineering companies and universities, communicate with students in technical fields, get new knowledge and consider an opportunity of continuing the education and work in Russia.

In the framework of the visit to MPEI the guests visited Institute of Automatics and Computer Engineering (IACE). The tour for them round the department’s laboratories was carried out by professor Sergey Vishnyakov, who permitted the guests to apply their knowledge to practice during the excursion.

The delegation was acquainted to the laboratories of the IEPE Departments: High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Physics, Power Electrical Systems, Relay Protection and Automation of Energy Systems and after then proceeded to see the complete gas distribution device.

Russian and Indian students met with UNIDO Goodwill Ambassador Veronika Peshkova, Energy Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Tareq Emtairah, Vice-Rector for International Relations Alexander Tarasov. The guests were told about the vectors of the industrial development.

The International Administration plans to intensify the cooperation in the domain of education with the support of Indian universities, UNIDO Goodwill Ambassador and a number of social organizations of the Republic of India.​
