Memorandum of cooperation between MPEI and Thai Nguyen University of Vietnam

On the 7th of October 2019 MPEI hosted a visit of Thai Nguyen University of Vietnam headed by its Vice-Rector Tran Thanh Van.

At the beginning of the meeting MPEI Rector warmly welcomed the guests. The representatives of Vietnamese delegation and the employees of MPEI spoke about the Universities and prospects of collaboration.

By the end of the meeting the signing of the Memorandum of cooperation between the Thai Nguyen University and MPEI was done. Both parties expressed the deep desire for fruitful collaboration including students and teachers exchanges and joint articles’ publication.

After signing the Memorandum the sides gave each other memorable gifts and visited together the Institute of Automatics and Computer Science. The Vietnamese guests became acquainted with the equipment and development work of the Departments of Relay Protection and Automation of Energy Systems and High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Physics of the Institute of Electric Power Engineering.

The sides had both been satisfied by the visit of Thai Nguyen University officials to MPEI, and its main result, the signing of the Memorandum of cooperation.

Thai Nguyen University (TNU) is one of the core regional universities in Vietnam, with more campuses than any city has except Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In 1994, numerous training centers in the region were merged under common management. The university includes seven colleges, a school of foreign languages and an international school. The university offers students higher and postgraduate education, as well as the opportunity to conduct research and improve their qualifications.​
