Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Republic of Angola visits MPEI

On the 28th of October 2019 the visit of Mrs. Maria do Rosario Braganca Sambo, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of the Republic of Angola, was held at MPEI. She was accompanied by the delegation of Embassy of the Republic Angola in the Russian Federation.

The guests were warmly welcomed by Nikolay Rogalev, Rector of MPEI.

In frames of the discussion the sides touched the issues of organization of joint educational programs with Angolan universities, the priority fields of study for Angolan students at MPEI, as well as the question of the Angolan students undergoing the practice at the enterprises of their homeland for improving the quality of training and developing the ties with future employers.

The Delegation visited the Institute of Electric Power Engineering and tested the VR-simulator of the power plants personnel training and the Department of High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Physics.

Collaboration of MPEI with the Universities and organizations of Angola started in 1970, when the first students had been enrolled. Currently, 56 Angolan students are studying at MPEI.
