Vietnam National University, Hanoi delegation at MPEI

On the 25th of October 2019, a delegation from Vietnam National University, Hanoi visited MPEI.


In the framework of the visit, the discussion with the foreign delegation were held. From the Vietnamese side it was presented by

Prof. Nguyen Dinh Duc, Director of Academic Affairs Department,

Prof. Dinh Van Huong, Director of Political and Student Affairs Department,

Prof. Le Tuan Anh, Vice Director of Cooperation and Development Department,

Prof. Chu Duc Trinh, Vice Rector of University of Engineering and Technology, VNU-HN,

Dr. Tran Quoc Binh, Chief of President Office,

Dr. Mai Nguyen Tuyet Hoa, Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, VNU - International School.

The representatives from the MPEI part were

Vladimir Zamolodchikov, First Vice-Rector,

Alexander Tarasov, Vice-rector on international relations,

Sergey Shirinskii, Head of the International Administration,

Elena Gulicheva, Head of Department of International Relations,

Tatyana Shestopalova, Head of the Institute of Hydropower and Renewable Energy, and staff of the Department of International Relations.

In frames of the visit the presentation about MPEI was shown. Afterwards, the sides started to discuss the realization of the multilateral joint educational projects in MPEI and VNU, and to broaden the collaboration in science and research domains.

After the finish of the talks Mrs Shestopalova led a tour round the classes and laboratories of IHRE.

The guests were guided to the ground with SU-27 fighter and MI-8 helicopter.

Then the members of the staff of Automatics and Computer Engineering showed to the guests the equipment of faculty laboratories.

Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is a state university that has 10 colleges and faculties and has been active in scientific and academic work since the beginning of 1945. The University is among the most prestigious ones in Vietnam, occupies 139th place in Asia according to QS World University Rankings.

Together with the International School of Vietnam State University (IS-VNU), a joint educational program (Double-Degree program) is carried out in English in the field of "Informatics and Computer Science". Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, VNU - International School Mai Nguyen Tuyet Hoa works presently at MPEI as a senior teacher of the Russian language department.

In the framework of the discussion the sides agreed to create a mutual education program in the field of Renewable Energy Sources and realization of the mutual Master program in the field of Informatics and Computer Science in English.

The agreements were confirmed in the final protocol of the meeting.
