Generations’ Energy charity fund organized to support young power engineering scientists

13 October, 2021, MPEI and the Global Energy Association declared the creation of Generations’ Energy, a new foundation for support of scientists in the engineering field. The sponsor of the fund is Carlo Rubbia, Nobel Prize Laureate, Laureate of the Global Energy Prize.

The foundation was announced at the Annual International Ceremony of Global Energy Prize Awarding. The initiator of the fund creation is Karlo Rubbia - internationally renowned scientist, Laureate of the Nobel Prize in Physics (1984) and Laureate of the Global Energy Prize (2020).

"The goal of the Generations’ Energy is to grant young scientists an opportunity to pass an internship in the world-class energy laboratories, institutes and research facilities", - noted the MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev. - "It is essential to give them a chance to stage at the centers that are headed by the Laureates and Members of the International Committee of the Global Energy Prize - world famous scientists - that are practice and theory specialists in power engineering, electric engineering and related disciplines. We are happy to greet the future activities of the fund in the partnership with the Global Energy Association. We are grateful to our friend and colleague Carlo Rubbia for his glorious initiative that we all support."
