MPEI signed agreement of collaboration with Rosatom

28 February, 2022, MPEI and Technical Academy of Rosatom signed an agreement of collaboration.

The document was signed by Yuri Seleznev, Rector of Technical Academy of Rosatom, and Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector.

Sides decided to develop the cooperation in educational, science, technical, innovation and research activities in the field of wind and hydrogen power, nuclear infrastructure and stations, waste maintenance, APCS on the thermal, nuclear and renewable energy, thermal engineering, electric engineering, laser and additive technologies, digital power engineering and production, cybersecurity.

The goal of the signed agreement is to create a basis for collaboration in training NPP personnel, instructors, and education programs export in the MPEI field of competence.

The activities of the Rosatom Technical Academy are focused on the short-term programs for NPP personnel training. MPEI can extend the focus to conduct a more fundamental training and retraining of specialists in the fields like nuclear and wind energy, hydrogen and additive technologies, energy systems, digital power engineering and cybersecurity. - said MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev.

In the course of the visit the leaders and specialists of Technical Academy of Rosatom got acquainted with the equipment of MPEI: specialized classrooms, laboratories, and educational standards of  Institute of Thermal and Nuclear Power Engineering, Institute of Electric Power Engineering and Institute of Hydropower and Renewable Energy.

One of the priority goals of the Rosatom State corporation is to create innovations in the IT field. A strong team of specialists that are ready to give study and consulting advice, is gathered at the Information Security Department of the Institute of Global Nuclear Security and Physical Defense. We have decided to create a branch competence center “Safe informational Technologies” and we are sure that the cooperation with MPEI that successfully realizes educational programs and applied science research in the field of Informational Security in Power Engineering, will contribute to development of personnel skills in the global field of nuclear technologies for sustainability of global development, - underlined the Rector of Technical Academy.
