Visit of the delegation of Shahid Beheshti University, the Raazi-Lomonosov Center and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation to MPEI

21 June, 2022 a meeting with representatives of Shahid Beheshti University, the Raazi-Lomonosov Centre and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation to MPEI was held.

On the part of Iran, honored MPEI guests were: representative of the Ministry of Sciences, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran in Russia, Belarus and the CIS, Adviser to the Embassy of Iran in the Russian Federation, Mr. Hadi Goudarzi, Rector of Shahid Beheshti University, Mr. Sadollah Nasiri, Advisor to the Rector, Mr. Khojat Rasuli, Director of the Raazi-Lomonosov Centre, Mr. Behruz Abtahi.

MPEI was representated by Nikolay Rogalev, Rector, Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Sergey Shirinsky, Head of the Department of External Relations, Natalia Savchenkova, Head of the Department of Foreign Postgraduate Studies and Internships, Anastasia Mashkova, Director for the Development of Integration Policy.

During the visit, the guests were given a tour of the laboratories and classrooms of the Institute of Hydropower and Renewable Energy Sources (IHRES) and the Institute of Electric Power Engineering (IEPE).

A presentation about MPEI history and life was demonstrated, after which the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of training specialists in the energy industry were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the guests thanked the representatives of MPEI for the opportunity to get to know the university and expressed hope for further development of cooperation within the training of highly qualified personnel for the energy sector.
