MPEI Vice-Rector took part in the meeting on international activities of Russian universities

On July 10,2023 the meeting of vice-rectors on international activities of Russian universities “International activities of Russian universities: challenges and outlooks” under the leadership of Mogilevsky Konstantin, the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, in the People’s Friendship University of Russia (PFUR) was held.

The speakers discussed current issues in the field of international activities of Russian universities in the present situation.

Alexander Tarasov, the Vice-Rector on international relations of the “National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” participated in the event. He spoke about MPEI experience in the field of opening branches of Russian universities abroad.

Nowadays the National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” has two branches abroad – in Dushanbe (Republic of Tajikistan), founded in 2013 and in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan).

Also during the meeting, Alexander Tarasov shared information about the experience of the functioning brunches in Soviet times and new educational project  MPEI University-Hainan.
