MPEI strengthens cooperation with the CIS supreme bodies

On November 2, 2023 the delegation of the CIS Executive Committee headed by Mikhail Myskin, Director of the Economic Cooperation Department visited MPEI to hold a working meeting with Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector.

The parties discussed the processes of approval by the CIS supreme bodies of draft documents regulating international sectoral interaction, paying special attention to the draft cooperation Concept of the CIS Member States in the Energy Sector until 2035 and the Plan of Priority Measures for its implementation. In the course of the meeting, the participants also raised questions on the prospects for the topical tasks set by the CIS Council of Heads of State and the CIS Council of Heads of Government in the energy sector.

Following the results of the working meeting, the parties agreed to continue close cooperation to implement activities on the development of cooperation between the CIS member states in strategic industries. It will help strengthen relations between the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and promote sectoral progress.

Demonstrating the effectiveness of expertise in the field of cooperation with top CIS bodies, MPEI continues to develop communications with leading experts in the international arena to achieve success in ensuring sustainable economic and social development.

By the decision of the CIS Council of Heads of Government dated October 30, 2015, MPEI was approved as the base organization of the CIS member states for training, professional retraining and advanced training of personnel in the electric power industry.
