Energy Symposium of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University

On November 30th, 2023 Energy Symposium of the USCO was held at the North China Electric Power University (NCEPU).

Alexander Tarasov, Vice-rector on International Relations and Andrey Rogalev, Head of the Department of Innovative Technologies for High-Tech industries presented MPEI.

During the symposium, participants discussed scientific and educational cooperation of the universities working in the field of “Energy” at the USCO.

MPEI is a coordinator of this field at the USCO. In his speech, Alexander Tarasov, told about the results of cooperation between universities from different countries in the energy field at the USCO and noted the successful implementation of the project of University MPEI-Hainan: “In October 2023, a group of the MPEI students and those who study under the joint MPEI and NCEPU program competed their internship in Hainan. MPEI professors conducted training. To our mind, this experience is very important for our development at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University.   

Andrey Rogalev made a presentation: “Next-generation high-capacity energy. Research and development of MPEI and a personnel training system for power engineering companies.”

During the preparation for the Symposium, a meeting was held with Mr. Feng Yaou, the President of the International Cooperation “Eurasia”, at which the Russian and Chinese parties discussed the development of the project of the “MPEI-Hainan University”.
