MPEI and Vietnam Electricity Company held a working meeting

On November 27, 2023, during his working trip to Vietnam, Alexander Tarasov, MPEIVice-Rector on International Relations visited Vietnam Electricity Company (EVN) in Hanoi.

Andrey Stankevich, representative of Rosatom State Corporation in Vietnam, and Kirill Sveshnikov, representative of the Russian Embassy in Vietnam attended the event.

During the visit to Vietnam's largest energy company, a meeting was held with EVN’s: Nguyen Tai Anh, Vo Quang Lam.

The Vietnamese representatives were informed about the establishment of a Russian-Vietnamese consortium of technical universities and the possibility to conduct advanced training, professional training and training of students and professors within the framework of this consortium. The parties touched upon possible topics of cooperation and internships of interest to the company. They also raised the issue of personnel training for the company's energy colleges and joint scientific research.

Also, Alexander Tarasov visited a power substation. It is worth noting that EVN owns more than 100 power substations in Vietnam.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to define a plan of joint cooperation for training of high-class specialists and realization of scientific and technological development for the benefit of the two states.
