MPEI foreign students took part in the World Youth Festival

11 best foreign students and Ph.D.-students from MPEI (representatives of 9 countries) were selected within the quota of the State Corporation "Rosatom" for participation in the World Youth Festival 2024. This year's youth delegation included 65 foreign students from 11 core universities of Rosatom, a permanent partner of the Festival. 

Rosatom’s interactive zone and stand were located in the main pavilion of the City of Youth with more than 20 panel discussions, master classes, and interactive sessions where representatives of Rosatom's leadership, partner organizations, and students of supporting universities participated. Such topics were raised as Russian energy education, international eco-community, the future of world energy, nuclear technologies for sustainable development, global cooperation in education and science, etc.

At the Festival, MPEI foreign students shared their experience of studying at the leading power engineering university in Russia, got acquainted with representatives of Russian and foreign companies – leaders in various fields of technologies, took part in scientific, cultural and sports events, exhibitions, concerts, master classes, found new friends and participated in the procession of the Rosatom delegation.

"This festival exceeded my expectations. I had no idea how organized and diligent the organizers and volunteers would be. I was impressed by the friendship of people from various countries and of different ages. They interacted and had fun as if they had known each other for years. It’s an honor to attend this festival," - Ali Magdy Mohamed (Egypt), student of the Power Machinery and Mechanics Institute, said.

​"The events held by Rosatom were truly exciting and full of interesting knowledge, innovation and inspiration. The presentations and lectures were extremely informative and educational. I learned about the latest developments in nuclear energy, technologies and innovations that will help build a sustainable future for all of us. In addition, the master classes and creative activities were inspiring. We learned how to create projects on the use of nuclear technologies in various spheres, which broadened our understanding of the possibilities in nuclear power. Overall, Rosatom's events have become a source of new knowledge, encouragement and confidence in the future for me.
