Partner universities In 2001 active cooperation of
MPEI with Kyrgyzstan in the post-Soviet period began.
At present, there are 5
lecturers from Kyrgyzstan working at MPEI. Turatbek Duishenaliev, Professor
of the Department of Robotics, Mechatronics, Dynamics and Strength of Machines is
among MPEI
honorary doctors, who was awarded the MPEI breastplate "For
interaction and cooperation".
In 2013,
with the support of the Ministries of Education and Science of Russia and
Kyrgyzstan, the Russian-Kyrgyz
Consortium of Technical Universities (RKCTU) was established. Presently
cooperation is carried out on 35 joint educational programs. The RKCTU includes
40 Russian and 15 Kyrgyz universities.
MPEI is the
basic organization of the CIS member-states for training, retraining and
advanced training of personnel in the field of electric power, along with other
universities, including Kyrgyzstan, participates in the discussion and
decision-making in the sphere of science and education.
MPEI is
active in the University
of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) together with a
number of higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan, being the coordinator
of the "Energy" direction, and also takes part in all activities in
the direction of "Economics".
A resource
center for Russian education was created on the basis of the Gazprom-Kyrgyzstan
school as part of the federal project "Export of Education" of MPEI.
MPEI professors teach physics classes for students in grades 9-11(12).
MPEI
actively participates in the activities of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Kyrgyz
Republic dedicated to energy and personnel training.
For many years, MPEI has been fruitfully cooperating
with the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov (KSTU).
Rector of KSTU (1998-2003) Ulan Brimkulov is a graduate of our university.
With the support of KSTU, MPEI regularly participates in section
meetings and the international scientific-practical conference
"Integration processes in the scientific-technical and educational
space".
On the basis of MPEI there is advanced training of academic
staff of partner universities. More than 40 professors from KSTU have completed
an internship at MPEI.
MPEI repeatedly
visits partner universities and organizations of Kyrgyzstan to discuss the
development of fruitful cooperation.
MPEI professors
make presentations and share their experience with their Kyrgyz colleagues at
conferences. Teleconferences with partners from the Kyrgyz Republic are held
regularly.
The year 2022 marked the 10th anniversary of the
establishment of the Russian-Kyrgyz Technical University Consortium.
In 2022 Sadyr
Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan signed the Decree "On Awarding State
Awards of the Kyrgyz Republic," according to which MPEI
was awarded the medal "Dank". The medal "Dank"
is awarded for significant achievements in public service, industrial,
scientific and technical, creative, educational, social and charitable
activities.
