The collaboration of MPEI and Yugoslavia began in 1966 when the first students from this country were enrolled. Since then, 75 Yugoslav students have been trained. Presently MPEI continues the partnership with Macedonia. Now there is one student from Makedonia, Evgeniya Uzunova, studying at MPEI.
In 2017, MPEI and Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje signed an agreement of collaboration. The special accent was made on the development of cooperation in two fields of Erasmus+ program: Academic mobility of students and Academic mobility of staff.
