In 2024, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the DPRK to Russia, H.E. Mr. Sin Hong
Chol, visited MPEI along with other representatives of the Embassy and
delegates from leading DPRK universities, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim
Chaek University of Technology, and Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies.
In the same year, MPEI Vice-Rector
on Youth Policy, Andrey Fedotov, paid a working visit to the DPRK to study
approaches to the implementation of state youth policy in Russia and the DPRK,
exchange experiences, and establish contacts.
In 2025, a meeting between
the MPEI leadership and a delegation from Kim Chaek University of Technology
took place at MPEI. During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects
for scientific and educational cooperation, joint research initiatives and
signed a meeting protocol.
