Eurasian Economic Commission and MPEI conduct international conference on Eurasian Interstate Program25.03.2021On the ground of the Eurasian Economic Commission in the remote format another event dedicated to the development and realization of Eurasian Interstate Program (EISP) was held. It was called "Improvement of efficiency and reliability of industrial facilities and distributed energy industry in member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)". The initiative on EISP was given by MPEI in the framework of the activities of Eurasia Technology Platform "Energy and Electrification", which was founded by MPEI as well. The proposal was sent by EEC to the governments of States-members and received considerable approval there. EISP consists of 4 parts: creation of modern technologies for the manufacture of environmentally friendly energy storage devices; ensuring increased reliability and effective integration of power grid equipment with various sources of small renewable and distributed generation; creation of guaranteed low-power power supply systems based on renewable energy sources and low-power steam-gas turbine plants operating on local types of fuel; and development of new promising insulating and structural materials for distributed energy. Particularly, it is supposed to accumulate the efforts of more than 30 industrial and scientific educational organizations of EAEU countries for the program’s realization. The discussion with the involved departments and organizations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia was held. The meeting included the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, that were operating in the framework of development of the Interstate Program by the EEC Council in accordance with the Regulation on Interstate Programs of the EEC. The realization of the EISP allows to create new materials, technologies and devices for the support of energy and ecology safety and prosperity of EAEU. From the MPEI part, Sergey Belousov, Vice-Rector on Digital Transformation, Dmitry Kovalev, Head of the Study and Science Center of MPEI, and Dmitry Golubev, employee of the Center of International Cooperation and Science-Technical Transformation of MPEI, all were involved in the event. The Eurasian Economic Union is an international organization for regional economic integration with international legal personality, established by the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. The member states of the Eurasian Economic Union are the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. The EAEU was created for the purpose of comprehensive modernization, cooperation and increase of the competitiveness of national economies, and creating conditions for stable development in consideration of improving the living standards of the population of the member states. Website: http://www.eaeunion.org The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is a permanent regulatory body of the Eurasian Economic Union. It began to function on 2 February, 2012. The main purpose of Eurasian Economic Commission is to promote the conditions of functioning and development of EAEU and to work out ways for further integration. The Eurasian Technological Platform "Energy and Electrification" is an association created on the initiative of MPEI to ensure effective interaction for organizations of the EAEU member states in ensuring the reliability of consumers with energy resources, as well as increasing the efficiency of their use while reducing the negative impact of energy facilities on the environment. The other goal of the Platform is the development and commercialization of energy efficient technologies for the production, transformation, transmission, distribution and consumption of traditional and renewable energy resources in the EAEU countries.
