Cooperation program between MPEI and Eurasian Economic Committee03.03.2023

headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) there was a meeting to
discuss the Program of Cooperation between the EEC and MPEI for 2023-2024. At the
end of the meeting Mikhail Myasnikovich, the Chairman of the EEC Collegium and Nikolay
Rogalev, MPEI Rector solemnly signed the strategic document.
The
Chairman of the EEC Collegium noted that in recent years young people of the
Eurasian Economic Union countries are increasingly interested in the Eurasian
economic integration.
«We
are building our cooperation with the EAEU institutions of higher education on
a systematic basis. The Commission and our Union need new, well-trained young
personnel and their out-of-the-box ideas, including in the most important
sphere of energy», – Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
Arzybek
Kozhoshev, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC took part in the
signing ceremony. He said that MPEI is a leading Russian university aimed at
training recognized specialists in the field of power engineering, electrical
engineering, radio engineering and electronics for many countries both in the
former Soviet Union and in third countries.

Rector Nikolay Rogalev arrived at the event accompanied by Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector
on International Relations, Anastasia Mashkova, Director on Integrational
Policy Development and Turatbek Duishenaliev, Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics,
professor of the Department of Robotics, Mechatronics, Dynamics and Machine
Strength, MPEI honorary professor.
The
meeting was also attended by students from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan,
Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation. The students were given an introductory tour
of the history and current activities of the EEC in the CIS. The students
attended the official part of the meeting and participated in an open
discussion with the heads of the EEC structural divisions. Mikhail Pleshkin,
Deputy Director of the Energy Department told the students about the formation
structure of common energy markets in EEC countries and Svetlana Zaitseva, Head
of the Electric and Nuclear Energy Policy Division, answered students'
questions about the prospects of internships in EEC structures and various
legal aspects of the Collegium's work in the Eurasian-Asian space.
The
signing of the cooperation program was a logical continuation of the
Commission's close cooperation with MPEI. According to Arzybek Kozhoshev, a member of the Energy and Infrastructure
Board, the cooperation will have a positive impact on the further development
of integration processes in the energy field in the Eurasian economic space.
