MPEI at the Russia-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission18.03.2024On March 15, 2024 the 21st Russia-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Commercial, and Scientific-Technical Cooperation was held at the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia". The Chairman of the Russian side of the Commission was Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. The Cuban side was represented by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Cuba CABRISAS Ricardo Ruiz. MPEI was represented by Anastasia Mashkova, Director on Integration Policy Development. At the meeting the results of the sectoral Working Groups were demonstrated, including those on cooperation in the education field. The issue of the project development "MPEI Targeted Training Center in Havana" was considered. The participants of the meeting supported the joint efforts of MPEI, the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the energy company "Unión Electrica" of the Republic of Cuba, aimed at launching the Center project and its further establishment as a scientific and technological hub for all countries of the Latin American region. The official opening of the Center is scheduled for August-September 2024.
