MPEI branch in Dushanbe held a film-lecture for 150th anniversary of Elena Gnesina06.06.2024On May 30 at the site of the MPEI branch in Dushanbe, the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Tajikistan organized a festive event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Elena Gnesina, Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR, legendary music teacher, pianist. A thematic movie lecture on the documentary film “The House Where Music Lives (2024, directed by Ekaterina Klyuchnikova) was shown. Elena Gnesina created and for 72 years she had been heading the largest complex of musical education – the Gnesins' educational institutions. These educational institutions won fame and recognition all over the world. Over the years of their existence, the Gnesin educational institutions have graduated a significant number of famous musicians, composers and conductors. In addition, Elena Gnesina was an authoritative musician and public figure, constantly supporting many people and musical educational institutions until her death in 1967 at the age of 95.
