XI International conference “Integration Processes in the Scientific, Technical, and Educational Space”

On April 25, 2025, Section IV of the XI International Network Scientific and Practical Conference “Integration Processes in the Scientific, Technical, and Educational Space” took place. The Conference is held annually by the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities (RKCTU), chaired by Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector.

The meeting of Section IV, titled "Current Issues in Power Engineering," was held remotely in the new MPEI congress zone. The event brought together speakers from the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov (KSTU) and MPEI, along with faculty and staff from KSTU’s Power Engineering Institute and MPEI’s Institutes of Hydropower and Renewable Energy, and Electrical Engineering and Electrification.

The session was opened by Alexander Tarasov, Section Chair and MPEI Vice-Rector on International Relations, and Ruslan Akparaliev, Director of KSTU’s Power Engineering Institute. Sergey Shirinsky, Associate Professor and Head of MPEI’s Department of External Relations, as well as a faculty member of the Department of Electromechanics, Electrical and Electronic Apparatuses, served as the session moderator.

The program featured presentations by faculty and graduate students from both MPEI and KSTU, as well as a student report from MPEI’s Department of Energy Structures and Hydro-Technical Installations. Based on the results, it was recommended to submit the presented papers for publication in “Вестник МЭИ” journal (MPEI), as well as “Известия КГТУ” journal (KSTU).

The annual conference of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities is organized across 10 thematic sections covering various scientific fields. These sessions are held remotely during the spring semester and hosted by selected universities in Russia and Kyrgyzstan, which enables the participation of students and graduate students from partner institutions. The conference’s plenary session is traditionally held in September, coinciding with the annual general meeting of the Consortium.
