The Department was founded in 1946. From 1990
to 2009, the Department was headed by Victor Medvedev, Honored Scientist and Engineer.
From 2009 to the present, the Head is Olga Kondratieva, a graduate of
the Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences.
Summary
Having a high scientific and pedagogical
potential, material and technical base, including modern measuring and
computing equipment, scientific and educational laboratories with unique
experimental stands and installations, the Department provides general technical
training for students of all specialties in the disciplines "Ecology"
and "Life Protection". New laboratory works have been developed and
implemented for the analysis of electromagnetic pollution, measurement of pollutant
concentration in water, environmental monitoring, vibroacoustic diagnostics,
etc. on the basis of modern measuring systems as part of the educational
process.
