Delegation from Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany (BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg) visited "MPEI"

Since the 28th of February to the 3rd of March in MPEI the reception of the delegation from Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany (BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg) has been taking place. The delegation included 14 people (among whom there were 9 BTU students), and it was headed by Dr.Sci.Tech., professor, Head of Department of Construction physics and power supply of buildings Mr. Uinfrid Schütz.

In frames of the visit a meeting with the representatives of MPEI was organized. Among them were: the representative of the Department of International Relations, coordinator of the ERASMUS+ program on the part of MPEI Irina Kuik, director of MPEI center of international programs Igor Zhelbakov, Head of Department of Ph.D.-students and Trainees Natalia Savchenkova, Head of Dept. of Industrial Heat Engineering Systems Yu. Yavorovsky, Head of Dept. of Heat-and-Mass Exchange Processes and Installations A. Garyaev, associate professor from Dept. of Industrial Heat Engineering Systems E. Zhigulina. During the reception a number of reports about international activity of MPEI and about possible joint projects under realization of ERASMUS+ program were made. Also the participants discussed the issues concerning the continuation and deepening of bilateral cooperation between MPEI and BTU in short-term training and the exchange education of students and Ph.D.-students.

During the ceremonial opening of the 23rd annual international scientific and technical conference of students and Ph.D.-students "Radio electronics, electrical engineering and power engineering" that was held on the 2nd of March in MPEI professor Uinfrid Schütz made a plenary report on a subject: "Energy saving regulations in Germany, history – status - future". All members of the German delegation participated in work of the section 35 "Industrial Heat Engineering Systems" where the results of the scientific achievements were presented.

Guests visited laboratories of the Dept. of Industrial Heat Engineering Systems and the Dept. of Heat-and-Mass Exchange Processes and Installations, and MPEI Experimental plant. Students have shown great interest in the features of power supply in Russia and to the advanced developments of MPEI in this area; they met professors and students of the University, they received answers to the points of their interest concerning process of learning in MPEI.

The heads of Dept. of Industrial Heat Engineering Systems express their special gratitude to students - volunteers from MPEI Trade-union students' organization for their help in preparation and holding the events in the framework of receiving of the delegation included students and professors from Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.
