First stage of a Double-Degree program between MPEI and North China Electric Power University has been completed

On the 26th of July 2019 the first study group of a joint program of MPEI and NCEPU successfully passed the final exam of the Russian language in Beijing. The group has been studying Russian for 1.5 year. Besides the complex of ordinary courses for the students, workshops at the Russian Center of Science and Culture were organized to make students meet the culture and customs of Russia. Special attention was paid to the conversation practice and, in response for the need, a special Russian-speaking club was formed for teaching, where the students could use the language in discourse with Russians.

The joint program of MPEI and NCEPU has been healthily developing during the last few years. In the framework of it, students have a chance to pass the first two years of the Bachelor program in China and the next two years at MPEI in the fields of Electric Power or Thermal and Nuclear Power.

Chinese students perfected their Russian language skills every day after the classes, studying hard but having fun.

The results of the final examination have shown that the students had mastered the Russian well enough to continue their studies at MPEI. So, satisfied and willing to move to our University, now they are waiting for the departure.
