MPEI develops educational programs for training personnel for the hydropower industry in Kazakhstan

On April 13, 2022, a working meeting of MPEI with representatives of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan technical university and specialized energy enterprises of Ust-Kamenogorsk on the development of educational programs for training personnel for the hydropower industry of Kazakhstan.

From MPEI, the meeting was attended by Director for the Development of Integration Policy of MPEI Mashkova A.M., Director of the Institute of Electric Power Engineering Tulsky V.N., Senior Lecturer of the Department of Hydropower and Renewable Energy Ignatiev E.V.

From D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan technical university the meeting was attended by the Dean of the School of Nuclear and Traditional Energy Technologies Segeda T.A.

Among the representatives of the profile energy enterprises of Ust-Kamenogorsk, the executive director of NPP Ust-Kamenogorskaya CHP Aidabulov T.I. took part in the meeting as well as the heads of the personnel department and the technical department of Shulbinskaya HPP.

At the meeting, the proposals and initiatives of representatives of hydroelectric power plants for the required personnel training were discussed. MPEI representatives spoke about educational programs in hydropower taught at the university. The participants of the meeting selected educational programs for development and inclusion in the register of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also determined the schedule of the educational process.

Following the meeting results, the parties expressed their hope for continued successful cooperation for the benefit of common interests in the field of training qualified specialists for the hydropower industry of Kazakhstan. ​​
