MPEI strengthens collaboration with China

At the end of February, 2023, Artem Kovalenko, a specialist of MPEI International Department, was visiting the Luoyang city in the Henan province in order to develop the cooperation between MPEI and the Henan University of Science and Technology (HUST). There he met Kong Liuan, HUST Rector.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector on HR, Mr. Li Quan An, and the head officers of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the HAUST.

In 2020, the two Universities signed an agreement on development and realization of the mutual educational programs. The joint educational project - Polytechnic Institute of HUST and MPEI is apparently a contemporary and promising project. According to it, 4 Bachelor and 1 Master educational programs are to be created.

The meeting concerned such issues as coordinating the curricula, modernizing the teaching of Russian as a foreign language for Chinese students, work in the mutual conferences and scientific projects, retraining of teachers involved in the project, as well as conducting summer camps, stages and short-term exchange programs for students of both Universities.

Artem Kovalenko shared his gratitude with the Rector of the HUST, thanked him for the warm welcome and expressed his certitude in successful development and further strengthening of cooperation between the Universities.
