MPEI and Xi'an Jiaotong University discussed issues of cooperation

On October 27, 2023, a delegation from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, visited MPEI.

The visit included a presentation of the universities and discussion of cooperation issues with MPEI administration and the heads of departments.

"In order to begin our cooperation with Xi'an Jiaotong University, it is necessary to exchange our scientists. Given the high reputation of the two universities, we will think about joint scientific and research projects, exchange already existing skills and knowledge. I believe it is this vector that will allow us to build a joint institute of the future for both MPEI students and Xi'an Jiaotong University students to study there," Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, commented.

The guests were given a tour of the Institute of Hydropower and Renewable Energy (IHRE), the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering (IEPE), the Departments of High Voltage Engineering and Electrophysics (HVEE) and Electric Power Systems (EPS), the center of the National Technology Initiative Center for Electricity Transportation Technologies and Distributed Intelligent Energy Systems (NTI), and the GOELRO Museum.

As a result of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to intensify academic mobility of students and develop bilateral relations between the universities.
