Forum of Mongolian students in Russia 2023

On November 18th, 2023 forum of Mongolian students in Russia 2023 was held in the MPEI Big Assembly Hall.

The large-scale event brought together more than 150 participants – Mongolian students from various Russian universities.

The honorable guests of the Forum were Mr. Ulziisaikhan Enkhtuvshin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation, with his wife and B. Anuzhin, Chairman of the Association of Mongolian Students in Russia.

Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector and H.E. Mr. U. Enkhtuvshin opened the solemn event.

 The event was aimed at uniting Mongolian students from all over Russia, presenting the national art, culture and traditions of Mongolia.

During the day, there was an exhibition of art works, a demonstration of the Mongolian folk dance and the Morinhur instrument, an exposition of the Mongolian yurt, presentations of student associations, reports, talks and a lecture  “The rights and obligations of the  Mongolian students in Russia”.

Students also signed a resolution accepted during the discussions at the forum.

MPEI has an active cooperation in the international field. Partnership with the Mongolian universities and organizations makes a significant contribution to it. The history of cooperation with Mongolia started in 1955. For the contribution to the development and preparing of highly qualified personnel for the energy sector of Mongolia, MPEI was awarded the state award of Mongolia – the Order of the Polar Star.
