The educational program of the Russian-African Network University consortium was opened at MPEI

MPEI held the opening of the educational program of the Russian-African Network University consortium (RAFU) with the participation of the Embassy of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and representatives of Ahmed Drayi University in Adrara (Algeria).

MPEI program “Actual tasks of renewable energy”, implemented in 2023 in the RAFU, will combine an educational and cultural-historical track and will last until December 15th. Program participants are representatives of Ahmed Drayi in Adrar, who have passed the competitive admissions. During the program lectures, practical classes, excursions to scientific laboratories and centers of the MPEI, cultural and historical track with a visit to the heart of Red Square and much more are planned.

“As a part of the establishment of modern vectors of sectoral international cooperation, Ahmed Draya University in Adrara is a strategic MPEI partner in Algeria, cooperating in the fields of educational methodological and research work, as well as in the field of cultural relations and international academic mobility”, Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector, commented.

RAFU is a structure contributing the integrations of the different approaches of Russian universities to the development of cooperation with African countries, in order to provide an effective exchange of information on best practices in building relationships and implementing projects. The primary tasks of the RAFU are the creation of a unified educational and scientific space, development of mechanisms for the development of academic and student mobility, as well as the promotion of intercultural dialogue and mutual enrichment of cultures and languages.
