Kyrgyz National University and MPEI discuss prospects of cooperation17.04.2024On April 16, 2024, the delegation of the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn (KNU), headed by Mahabat B. Sydykova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Computer Technology and Artificial Intelligence (ICTI), visited MPEI. The guests were given a tour of the GOELRO Museum, the Department of Relay Protection and Automation of Energy Systems of the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering (IEPE), the NTI Competence Center "Technologies for the transportation of electricity and intelligent energy systems". As part of the tour, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the departments, innovative equipment and technologies used in the educational process and scientific research. During the meeting, the participants discussed various aspects of a potential university partnership, including promising areas of joint scientific research that can be useful for both sides and contribute to academic progress. Both sides considered the issues of cooperation in the development of educational programs, the organization of joint courses and master classes, as well as scientific and practical conferences. Representatives of two higher education institutions expressed their readiness for further cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of education and science. They expressed confidence that the partnership between KNU and MPEI will contribute to the development of academic cooperation and mutual understanding between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. It is planned to sign a cooperation agreement between the two universities within the framework of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities. On April 17-18, 2024, colleagues from Kyrgyzstan will take part in the Inforinoconference at MPEI Reference: Kyrgyz National University (KNU) is the oldest and largest higher education institution in the Kyrgyz Republic. The University was founded in 1951. Since then, it has become one of the leading centers of education and science in Central Asia. KNU's mission is to contribute to the preservation and development of the scientific potential of modern society, based on classical academic traditions and advanced scientific achievements. KNU offers a wide range of educational programs in various fields of knowledge – humanities, natural sciences, engineering, medicine, etc. The university is actively engaged in scientific research in various fields, contributing to the intellectual and innovative development of the region and the country as a whole. In order to integrate into the global educational space, KNU develops international cooperation with more than 30 educational and scientific institutions abroad.
