The collaboration between MPEI and Italian institutions started in 1972 when the first Italian student was admitted to study at MPEI.
The first partners of MPEI were University of Pisa and University of La Sapienza (Rome).
Together with the University of La Sapienza, MPEI carries out the Erasmus+ program. In 2017, meetings were held in Moscow involving representatives of MPEI and the University of La Sapienza in the framework of cooperation between the Universities.
In Italy, symposia and conferences in the field of electric power are regularly held, and employees of the MPEI take an active part in numerous events.
MPEI has been collaborating with universities and organizations in Italy for decades. It is planned to continue and expand cooperation on exchange programs in the field of scientific research.
