MPEI International Festival19.05.2026From April 5 to May 15, 2026, the International Festival took place at MPEI. This annual series of events is aimed at fostering intercultural interaction and strengthening friendships among students from different countries. The festival brought together sports, cultural and creative activities, becoming an integral part of university life and an important platform for students’ self-expression, as well as for discovering the traditions and cultures of peoples around the world. The festival opened with the International Sports Games, where students competed while representing their countries. Participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, strong team spirit and a determination to win. The competitions were in an atmosphere of fair play and mutual support, helping to build friendships among students. These sporting events not only provided an opportunity for participants to showcase their abilities but also played an important role in bringing the student community together. A key highlight of the festival was the Cultural Exhibition, where students from different countries introduced guests to their national traditions, cultural peculiarities and customs. The stands prepared by participants allowed visitors to explore the history and unique identity of various peoples, as well as to engage with representatives of different nations. Throughout the event, the venue was filled with national music, dance performances and creative activities, forming a true atmosphere of cultural exchange. The exhibition once again became a space for open dialogue, where participants and guests could share experiences and get to know each other better. The festival concluded with the Talent Evening, which brought together student performances on one stage. MPEI Rector Nikolay Rogalev addressed the participants and guests with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of such events in strengthening the international student community, fostering friendships and maintaining a spirit of unity within the university. The program featured vibrant traditional dances from around the world, heartfelt vocal and musical performances, as well as poetry readings. Participants showcased a high level of preparation and a wide range of creative approaches, reflecting both the cultural heritage of their countries and a contemporary vision of the arts. The Talent Evening traditionally served as a bright finale to the festival, attracting a large audience and creating an atmosphere of support, creativity, and student unity. The International Festival at MPEI once again confirmed its significance as a platform for intercultural dialogue, the development of student initiatives, and the realization of students’ creative potential.
