Launch of resource centers of Russian education abroad

24 November, 2020, the first course at MPEI in the framework of the project for creation of resource centers of education abroad was held (the Federal project of "Education Export")

Giving the foreword of the course

In the remote format a lecture on Basic Physics (Mechanics) course was conducted. 102 listeners took part in the course, among them 101 students of Mongolian-Russian higher secondary school in Ulaanbaatar and 1 teacher. In the framework of the lecture the students made their first steps into the "Kinematics" section, learned about it and its applications. The lesson was given by Maksim Silaev, senior lecturer of the Departments of Theoretical Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering​ and Electric Power Systems. The lecture was taken excellently by the listeners, who will attend the lecture course weekly until the end of 2020.

The course meetings at MPEI are given regularly 4 times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. They can be attended by students of partner schools from Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Bulgaria, Tajikistan and Moldova. The lectures in Arabic are planned to be read for Syrian citizens, including sections of "Mechanics", "Molecular-kinetic theory", "Electrical phenomena" and "Magnetic phenomena".

This year, as part of the project for creating resource centers for Russian education abroad, MPEI conducts classes for schoolchildren, and as well hosts training for teachers of partner schools. Moreover, a winter school is held for students by the end of the year, where children can learn about the advantages of studying at MPEI and basics of energy specialties, as well as take part in virtual excursions and interactive games.

Every year the project of creating resource centers of Russian education abroad attracts more schools and countries. MPEI is open for new contacts and looking forward to giving the utter support to the initiative.
