Delegation of Nuclear Power Plants Department takes part in 3rd session of International Technical Workgroup

13 September, 2021, the 3rd session of the International Technical Workgroup on Development of Requirements for Fuel and Zone of Small Modular Light Water Reactors (SMLWR) was carried out within the participation of undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates and teachers. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the session was held remotely. Its Workgroup was organized under the aegis of the European Energy Club EUR.

In the last decade the interest towards the creation and practical use of the small-capacity nuclear power plants has been rising. The questions related to designing and the exploitation of the small-capacity reactors have become subject to discussion in Russia and European Countries. One of the missions of the EUR Club is to provide the customers of the new NPP the information received by the Nuclear Power Generating companies upon the choice of the best projects and give providers the clear vision of the Power Generating companies’ necessities.
