MPEI participates in events for start of new Erasmus+ project 2021-2027 in Russia 23.12.202115-17 December, 2021, MPEI participated in the official events dedicated to the start of a new contest project of Erasmus+ in Russia for 2021-2027. Erasmus+ project is one of the most successful and long-lasting (30 years) projects of the European Union that opens the possibilities for cooperation in the field of higher education worldwide. The conference was opened by Olga Oleynikova, Head of the National Erasmus+ Office in Russia. The foreword was given by Alexey Levchenko, Deputy Head of the Department of State Education Policy in the Russian Ministry of Higher Education and Science; Laurent Beauchero, Minister-Counselor, Head of the Department for Scientific, Technical and Other Fields of EU Policy at the Representative Office of the European Union in Russia; Franco Burgio, Representative of the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture, Brussels. Alexey Levchenko, Deputy Head of the Department of State Education Policy in the Russian Ministry of Higher Education and Science confirmed: "The Russian Ministry of Education and Science attaches great importance to the development of international cooperation in the field of higher education ... Participation in international cooperation allows our universities to ensure the prestige of Russian higher education, to promote our values and modernization and internationalization of higher education that is significant for our country ... Currently, the Russian Government and federal executive authorities have initiated and are preparing a fairly large number of works related to the internationalization of higher education, with the strengthening of international cooperation. He drew attention to the new period that puts priorities and tasks, key ones of them are: digital transformation green technologies inclusion and diversity involvement of universities and people disabled and limited for different reasons Sessions were carried out remotely on the Zoom platform and gathered more than 400 representatives of Russian Universities, including MPEI coordinator of Erasmus+ Irina Kulik. Reference: TheErasmus+ program was launched at MPEI in 2016 in two fields: KA1 - academic mobility of students and teachers and KA2 - joint research and educational projects (best practice exchange). The implementation of the program and the extension of the partnership continues successfully even in a difficult period of Covid-19. In recent time, Erasmus+ involved more than 100 students, postgraduates and teachers of MPEI.
