Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and the President of Damascus University, Prof.Mohamad Osama Al-Jabban, the elite Syrian researchers have been recognized for their scientific work at the international level.

Researcher awards were based on several metrics, including the significance of the journal, the importance of published research, the citations received, and the research's contribution to the university's global profile.

One of the awarded researchers is a postgraduate student and assistant of Theoretical Bases of Heat Engineering named after Mikhail Vukalovich Department Deeb Rawad for his research published in the most prestigious international journals in 2021, which contributed to the increase in the scientific rating of MPEI.

Among the published works of Deb Rawad was given a special honor for his published work in the top technical fluid physics journal “Physics of Fluids” in America.

The postgraduate student's family was invited to the ceremony, and his father accepted the award. Also present at the award ceremony were the Minister of Higher Education, the President of the University and his deputies, the Director of the Higher Commission for Scientific Research, the head of the Commission for Excellence and Creativity, deans of colleges and higher educational institutions, professorial staff and postgraduate students of Damascus University .
