MPEI at the II Forum of Rectors of Russian and Kyrgyz Universities

June 8, 2022, Nikolay Rogalev, MPEI Rector took part in the II Forum of Rectors of Russian and Kyrgyz Universities in Yekaterinburg on the basis of the Ural Federal University.

The forum was held within the framework of the IX Russian-Kyrgyz Interregional Conference.

Within the framework of the panel session "Development of strategic interuniversity partnership", MPEI rector shared his experience of interuniversity cooperation within the framework of the Russian - Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities.

Within the framework of the forum, Viktor Sadovnichy, the President of the Russian Union of Rectors, Abdylda Musaev, professor and the Chairman of the Association of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a memorandum on the establishment of the Association of Universities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

Heads of 45 Russian universities and 20 higher education institutions, including MPEI, discussed the issues of training competitive personnel, the course and prospects of scientific and educational cooperation between the two countries.

MPEI will take part in the expansion of interuniversity projects in the field of academic mobility of students and teachers, the development and implementation of joint educational programs of higher education, additional professional education for advanced training programs and professional retraining programs, holding youth forums, summer and winter schools and others events.

As a result of the forum, university leaders agreed to further strengthen cooperation in order to improve the quality of education and its accessibility in the interests of developing the human capital of the two countries and preserving the cultural and historical community.
