Myanmar MPEI graduate Hlaing Min Oo awarded Honorable Professor title

26 December, 2022, MPEI hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the Honorable Professor title to the Myanmar citizen Hlaing Min Oo, Head of the Energy Department of the scientific and technical research center DSSTRC.

The event was initiated by the Department of Electrotechnical Complexes of Autonomous Objects and Electric Transport for the professor’s merits in his contribution to the development of cooperation between our university and organizations of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Head of the Department Mikhail Rumyantsev introduced Hlaing Min Oo, stating that in 2009 he successfully defended his postgraduate thesis at MPEI, and in 2017 - his doctoral one. Due to Myanmar's love for labor, skills and knowledge received at MPEI, he is now a leading specialist in the field of universal transmitters and energy sources in his country, which is proven by his honors and titles.

Hlaing Min Oo takes an important part in working with MPEI applicants, and also actively popularizes Russian education and science, making an invaluable contribution to the development of friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The MPEI graduate constantly keeps in touch with the department and continues his fruitful scientific work.

The MPEI Rector congratulated the Honorable Professor on receiving the title and wished him luck and success in his research and development work and innovative projects.

The Department of International Administration, the Department of Electrotechnical Complexes of Autonomous Objects and Electric Transport and the Directorate of International Relations all sincerely congratulate Hlaing Min Oo on his title and express the hope that the development of relationship between two countries will be increasingly active and will bring fruits in the field of science and education for the mutual noble goals.
