MPEI received gratitude from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport

Professor Ismail Abdel Gafar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport of Egypt (AASTMT), expressed gratitude to MPEI and personally to our Rector Nikolay Rogalev for the organization of the international educational program "Summer Multidisciplinary University "Russia-Africa"" (RAFU).

In November 2022, 15 Egyptian students of the Academy – trainees of the educational program "Current challenges in the electricity industry" received certificates of successful completion of the program and congratulations from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The program was implemented within the framework of the consortium "Russian-African Network University" (RAFU).

Since 2022, AASTMT is one of the basic MPEI partners in Egypt.

Thus, in the framework of cooperation between the organizations, one of the most outstanding events in energy was the 5th International Youth Conference on Radio Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering (REEPE 2023). MPEI has been organizing it annually since 2018, and it also is going to be held in Cairo in March 2023.

Being the general partner and co-organizer of the event for the first time, AASTMT will provide space for participation in the full-time format on the basis of its College of Engineering and Technology.

On behalf of MPEI, the organizing committee of the Conference will include Rinat Nasyrov, Deputy Head of Electric Power Systems Department (Electric Power Engineering Institute), Mohamed Ali Hassan Tolba, Associate Professor of the Department and a number of other employees will enter the organizing committee of the Conference.

Participation in REEPE 2023 provides a unique opportunity for engineers, designers and industry representatives to establish future-oriented communications with representatives of electric power companies and researchers from relevant institutions, to discuss a wide range of topics related to electric power systems and environmental problems. In 2023, REEPE will be one of the largest professional networking and educational events.

REEPE 2023 will be held on March 16-18 at MPEI and at the College of Engineering and Technology in Cairo in seven industry sections. The working language is English.
