The Vietnam Embassy delegation at MPEI

7 March, 2023, MPEI hosted the visit of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam delegation represented by First Secretaries of the Vietnam Embassy in Russia, Mai Nguyen Tuyet Hoa, of the education department, and Le Kong Bang, of the economy department.

In the framework of the visit, the guests met with Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector on International Relations.

For the delegation, an acquainting tour round the MPEI main сampus was given, and the delegates had an opportunity to see the laboratories and study rooms of the IHRES and IEPE faculties. 

In the framework of work discussion Mai Hoa underlined that it is necessary to have partners in the education field, have good ties between them and strengthen the cooperation. She spoke about the long-lasting collaboration with MPEI that is aimed at Vietnamese specialists training and expressed her hope to carry out the further fruitful cooperation bonds between Universities and organizations of two countries.

Moreover, the delegate expressed her keenness on mutual work with MPEI and agreed to help her colleagues to discuss the issues of common professional personnel training.

Presently the active work is underway upon the realization of the Russian-Vietnamese Consortium of Technical Universities, which will contribute to the development of digital power engineering and industry. The decision on the Consortium creation was taken on 29 November, 2022 at the III Session of the Russian-Vietnamese cooperation in education, science and technology. In the beginning, it will include MPEI, Moscow Aviation Institute and Vietnamese State University.

By the results of the meeting, both sides expressed their hope for a fruitful collaboration.
